Hey, what’s up, all you passionate people? Thanks for tuning into another edition of Passion and Grit.
Today I want to encourage you in the power of belief. There’s a guy by the name of Dr. Bruce Lipton and he said something called “epigenetic control.” Basically, what that means is that cells are not controlled from the inside. In other words, not completely controlled by what’s handed down to you as much as it is controlled by the environment, by the external controls, that are coming after it. He even goes into the power of the electronic things that happen in your body when it comes to positive and negative thinking.
That got me super excited because one of the biggest things that hold people back from succeeding in life is their doubt – their lack of belief that they can do what they want to do. Whenever you look at this, and this is a study and pure science, we talk about beliefs and sometimes it feels like this cloudy thing in the sky, dreams and hopes and all that kind of stuff. It doesn’t feel like we can route ourselves into it, so it’s pretty excited whenever you see science come along the lines of what belief and faith can do. What that says is that we have the power to completely transform our minds through the power of our positive thoughts! This is huge! How huge is that, that we have that kind of power?
I love the way Muhammad Ali said it. He says that the repetition of affirmations leads to belief. Once that belief is deeply rooted, that’s when big things begin to happen. You can say what you want about Muhammad Ali. I understand he was a cocky, arrogant guy but I think it’s funny because our arrogance sometimes gets tied up in the fact that there was a man who did not let the smallest amount of doubt in him. We’re used to people going “I think I have a pretty good chance of winning this, but that other guy is in pretty good shape.” Muhammed Ali said I’m not even going to let that thought come in! Let’s this be your license to be arrogance.
Hear me out. Don’t turn it off. I’m not saying you can go be arrogant to people, but in your mind, let the affirmations be so strong that you believe so strongly that you can reach what you’re believing you in, you can reach these dreams and you can reach these hopes and nothing, not even the smallest inkling of doubt can put itself inside you, and watch what it begins to do! Watch how it begins to transform the way you think, the way you act, the way you believe, the way the environment around you begins to change because you started relying on that positive and that confidence and those affirmations rooted deep inside of you to where it starts coming out externally.
I’m so passionate about what I’m saying right now because I’ve lived it! I’ve lived a life of negativity, but then I transformed it into something positive. I started looking at the fact that I do have the power. God’s given me the power to change the things around me, to better this world, to better the people around me and I hope that you take that same thing and begin to move it in your life.
As always, live life with Passion and Grit; passion, because without it, life is just boring, and sometimes you’ve got to grit your teeth and do whatever it takes to succeed, because life is short and it’s time we stop just surviving it and start living it now!
